I did not set out to be a motorcycle accident attorney. When I began my law practice, I actually had some very high aspirations. Personal injury law was never on the docket. I actually hated personal injury lawyers. You see, I have learned about what they have done to the justice system. The dockets are hopelessly filled with auto accident cases, slip and fall lawyer lawsuits, and the like. They really abused the system, and it has caused a great deal of harm to how justice is done in America.
Motorcycle accident attorneys, I thought at the time, were some of the worst. A motorcycle accident attorney basically takes a situation where the client is often at fault, and finds ways to get a jury to award them millions of dollars based on sympathy. When you ride a motorcycle, you are taking some serious risks. Basically, you are putting yourself in a situation where you are completely exposed to the elements. Even a minor motorcycle crash can often be fatal. At the very least, most cases tried by a motorcycle accident attorney result in some degree of paralysis. Being a motorcycle accident attorney was no way to change things. I wanted to change things.
Nonetheless, you are dependent on the will of the voters in this country. Perhaps it is sad, but it is also true. I could not make it to the position of District Attorney, and I was getting tired of only making a prosecutor's salary. My law school debts were still unpaid, so with heavy heart I resigned myself to my fate as a motorcycle accident attorney.
It turns out that things could have been worse. I think I painted things in stark colors because I have an overdeveloped sense of right and wrong. Things are not always that simple in this world. As a motorcycle accident attorney, I am still part of a justice system that I very much respect. If motorcycle accident attorneys sometimes take things to excess, it is the responsibility of the legislation to do something about it. We serve our function admirably.
No matter how much people complain about personal injury lawyers, they will always call on one if they are injured themselves. Granted, not everything turned out how I would have liked. Nonetheless, no one's life does. I am just happy to be able to have a loving wife, two beautiful children, and a huge amount of money from my practice as a motorcycle accident attorney.
